A five, six year delay wouldn't make all that much of an alteration to our future history, but checking the mid-late 2050s at the same site will show a much more useful configuration. As long as the brachistome requirements for the Neptune-Saturn, Saturn-Jupiter, and Jupiter-Mars legs are all less than a straight shot to Earth, we have a perfect justification - they're stopping off to refill their reaction mass reseves, whether by gathering raw water out of the wilderness or cleaning out the reserves Mars Base has on hand.
