short - QtR: A Nest for Ravens
Re: short - QtR: A Nest for Ravens
#3
Corvus is from Heretic and Heretic II, the first of which being the game that put Raven Software in the running and gave them a rep for taking other peoples' engines and making superior products with them (Heretic ran on Doom's engine, Heretic II on the Quake II engine, Elite Force on QIII, etc.) ... yeah, I suppose he'd be pretty obscure these days.
The rest of the guesses is right on, 'cept for the little bit that _this_ Raven Darkholme is from before she met Destiny, when she was a private investigator way back in Victorian England. You may have heard of said investigator. Ran around with a chap by the name of Watson and kept shouting 'the game's afoot!' and all. Hence the tweed.
Haven't decided which version of Raven this uses, though. Be it the one from the animated series, or the DC canon. Maybe one of those 'fragments' that didn't make it past Crisis ... hmm ... something to consider, at least.
