I thoguht that having them posses the Rei-spares was the original concept, and then we moved away from that to control the character count with the Eva-possession thing... was there ever the suggestion that they were still able to go kaiju? I missed it, I think, if so - unless it was when I mentioned them stepping in against Mana-as-nun-fetish-girl and her entirely robotic giant mecha, but I didn't mean combating it as such, more that they'd be keen to deal with her personally before this nonsense she's spouting about how they're being defiled and wronged has a chance to catch on with the Children.
