I was wondering this myself, but the only thing I could come up with was an omake, with Yui, Naoko, and whatever Asuka's mom's name is having an energetic threesome on the beach somewhere. Obviously, that won't do for a serious reason... Maybe Yui just plain died, in a research accident or something less exotic, and he's trying to get her back from the afterlife by forcing an angel to accept his orders? Lilith is still refusing him, Adan is still regressed to nearly nothing, Rei is half-human so she can't do it - now all these re-embodied angels are all over his son, but won't even give him the time of day, and none of them seem to realise that bringing the kid's mother back would be a great way to get on his good side. What does it TAKE to get a little raising of the dead around here, the freakin' Necronomicon? Because I can arrange to get that, you know...
