I'm thinking, both could work. And both in a mostly student/mentor sort of way. The latter would be teh amusing - imagine Eric as the new music teacher at the high school the Children attend (well, he is kinda sorta immortal, right? a little thing like impact wouldn't keep him down for long.)

Due to author intervention and undisclosed plot reasons, Eric is forced to move out of the country (say, people are noticing he isn't aging, maybe?). He goes to London. The plane lands at Heathrow, and while the passengers are going through customs Zeppelin's float from beyond the horizont. Soon, London is burning and Eric is in the process of fighting his way through hordes of Nazi vampires. Since they can't really hurt him ... well, you get the idea ... then he comes across a couple of priests 'escorting' a cuffed woman, with an entourage of a bunch of heavily armed KKK members (or so it seems) ... they start shooting at him ...
things should kinda snowball from there ...
Is there any such thing as 1/8 (Kintaro/Edward) fluff?
Only if Oe starts to work as a temp on the Bebop after Spike's first run in with Vicious. How did he get there? Or then? Maybe Kintaro was unlucky enough to pull a Fry and stumble into a cryo unit, and now has to work off the debt for getting treated and unfrozen?
Scary, in that it could work. Though he'd keep the ecchi thoughts on Faye, I'd think.
