Good point. I'm pretty sure I can come up with several original characters who think they're more entitled to one of these ladies than Our Hero.
Hrm... The son of a high-ranking Yakuza? How about a little-known member of the Imperial Family (nobody in Japan likes to talk about him much - not out of
respect, but out of sheer embarasment). These two should cause enough mayhem, especially if they team up. I still suspect that maybe one or two more are
needed...
Oh yeah! How about a cousin from his Mother's side of the family? Be a guy who's got a chip on his shoulder about how much better more
accomplished Our Hero is compared to him. And best of all, he's got a younger sister that doesn't think much of his schemes and is always ready with a
billy club to whack him senselss. It's a trope, I know, but one that works.
Now, I can already see that the real challenge is going to be in keeping it from devolving into Ranma-level stupidity, not to mention that I do want this story
to have a happy ending somewhere. More brainstorming is in order.
Thanks, DHBirr! (^_^)
