She probably did, but only the folks who got the limited edition of the new Urusei Yatsura collection (in Japan, circa... 2007?) got to see it in color.
It's part of a feature in the new collection called "My Lum" which has several mangaka's interpretations of Lum. The first two were Takahashi
herself and the lead character designer for the original Anime, There were pieces, IIRC, from the artist from Keroro Gunso/Sgt. Frog, and Ohta from Hellsing,
amongst others.
