The Silver Crystal is to a Jewel Seed what a nuclear reactor is to a lead-acid car battery. It's capable of literally restructuring an entire solar system.
What's likely to happen is, Precia gets wind of it, sees it in action, and goes, "It must be mine!" and sends Fate after it, since with that, she doesn't need the Jewel Shards. She can just finish everything in one shot.
What she doesn't know (unless we're after the end of Season 1 of Sailor Moon at the time) is that it can in fact accomplish her real goal (resurrect Alicia), not just her pathway to that goal (rip open the dimensional boundaries so she can access Al-Hazard).
