I tried to come up with more details but honestly, http://miotd.com/2010/10/09/macross-mag ... langclang/ who macronizes as part of her transformation sequence is a wrong enough genre clash on its own. This is the girl who strapped mecha armor on her squishy meat body to (spoiler) kick some alien insect ass. And who and previously got in a fistfight with a VF-25 (the same one said armor/bootser/missile pack parts usually attach to) and was winning until logic and diplomacy carried the day. Pitting her against your typical Dark Minion, or even most Dark Generals, is inviting a curbstomp of epic proportions, in the most literal sense.
