So basically, as soon as Harry hears the name, he'll be looking for material from an alchemist from three hundred years earlier, and the points that are actually of the plot (Philosopher's Stone, Elixer of Life) immediately. If the train ride comes off similarly, he might even wonder aloud if Dumbledore got to see the Philosopher's Stone when working with him after reading the namedrop on Dumbles' chocolate frog card.
