I honestly can't recall if these have been recced before, but I'd like to recommend The Traveling Tutor and the Librarian and its sequel, The Traveling Tutor and the Diplomats Daughter, both of which are now complete. The first is a romantic comedy, and the second picks up a few months after the first left off. Both are by the same author of Monster in the Twilight, so if you've been following that, you know the level of quality you'll be getting. (They aren't nearly as action packed, but then again, they are Romantic Comedies, not dramatic adventures, like MitT is.)
Edit:
I'd also like to rec The Dusk Guard: Rise. The basic gist is that, in the wake of the changeling invasion, the Princesses called a former guard out of retirement, and tasked him with assembling a crack team of ponies with disparate skills and backgrounds from across Equestria. This takes up the majority of the first arc/act of the story. The second act, just now completed, begins getting into their first mission(s).
The cast is almost entirely OCs, but they are very well fleshed out, and Viking ZX, the author, does a good job of making them all feel real and alive.
