Well, it's still Saber - as far as she's concerned, he's right. She's just gotten enough of a perspective to realize that 1, nobody else would be likely to've done any better, and 2, she did accomplish something worthwhile, worth keeping, even if it wasn't technically what she'd set out to do. But that's really none of his business.

Anyway. It's well established that the power of belief distorts the abilities, appearance, and even behavior of the Servants. I don't think that a technicality like details of the timeline would stand between Saber and the single most fundamental point of her entire legend, especially given that other parts of it include the idea that King Arthur is 1, not dead but dreaming, and 2, that when 'he' rises again the Round Table will follow him.
Besides, as much as I do like to explore consequences, this is ultimately a crackfic, and readers are advised not to look at any given aspect too hard.
