Having seen the episode....some comments
Subaru - Gotta love the Strike Blazer/KOF ensemble. Her specialty is melee magical combat. I don't know what her device is called but it reminds me of a mecha fist. Awesome mobility and agility. Her weakness is that she has no long range attacks.
Tiana- Magical gun-girl. Her specialty is sniping and long range magical attacks. Looks a like from Rosette from Chrono's crusade. Weapon: Dual barrelled pistol with grapnel attachment.
One of the elements they kept in this series is the deep friendship and cameraderie between Subaru and Tiana, which is a like lot Fate and Nanoha. I like Subaru's emo moments too!
