Thanks for posting the article and I'll look into the website suggested as well.
I was always of the opinion that until the internet the Radio was the only effective form of advertisement for music. The Radio may have played it for free, but the Record companies, singers, musicians and writers were more than compensated for by the Radio letting very large numbers of potential customers hear it for free.
If the Radio stations have to start paying copyright fees I wonder if they can't develop some sort of counter fee to charge them.
