Very cool, and I recognize that this as much of an alpha product as the ocular implants for the blind. But I'm still worried about 2 things:
1) what happens when the motor/glucose engine breaks? I can't imagine that it's built of things that can circulate in your bloodstream
2) it's awfully big (thick) to be shoving under my skin (at least it looked that way from the picture).
But the idea of having actual realtime bioinformatics: ubercool!
I'd be less interested in networking this with the outside world and more interested with integrating it with my internal network (blood sugar, 02 levels,
red blood cell count, lactic acid buildup, etc).
Knowing how to get the most out of a workout (or when I need to rehydrate/eat something) is far more interesting than dialing a call on my arm.
