partial victory is MINE. I torrent-searched for the SID (Softmod Installer Deluxe), managed to boot off of Splinter Cell and load enough of the Evo-X dash to
FTP in, replaced the relevant saves, rebooted off of splinter cell and loaded SID - ran the installer routines, rebooted, and I've a soft-modded Xbox!
FTPed over the XBMC app, and it runs, and it's NEAT.
next step is to make XBMC the default dashboard..
