Rod: You can run the Fallout3.exe from the install directory. No launcher. No CD. Shh.

Edit: I had some noticable issues with that Launcher. Windows would give me a crashed app notice every time I quit, and sometimes the game would just hang.
Ever since I just ran the damn game directly, it's been working much better.
