Well, once Justin got my car jumped yesterday I called the doctor to see if I could go in, but alas, my doctor's been out all week. So I talked with a
nurse, who asked if I was having any pain in my legs (presumably to rule out anything really serious). My legs are fine, I said. She said based on my weight
I could take up to 600mg of ibuprofen (three pills) every six hours. Also said to put ice on my back, then try heat in a couple days. She asked if I wanted
to make an appointment for today with a different doctor and I told her I'd see how I feel first.
I feel a little better today, although it still took forever to fall asleep last night. I'm still plenty stiff and sore, but I just gotta take it easy.
I seem to have bad luck with back injuries ^_^; I hurt it at work six years ago trying to lift something too heavy, then a little over three years later I get
another work injury, having a twenty-pound box drop on my head from about ten feet up (that was concussion #2 for me), which aggravated that old injury. And
now this, and although not muscle-related like the original injury it is almost on the exact same level in terms of location.
Lucky for me I didn't hit my head; that would've been concussion #4 for me! I don't think I can afford any more! (I've never broken a bone,
and oh how ironic it would be to have a broken SPINE be my first -- I'm not saying it's broken but if I had a hairline fracture or something I
wouldn't be surprised).
