Seems like it's gotta be from Australia (or Fourecks), where the only life-forms that aren't dangerous, according to Death's
library, are "some of the sheep." (Not all of the sheep are harmless, mind you.)
Somebody did a cartoon back in the Forties or Fifties about two mice who decide (something to do with gorging themselves on cheese, and feeling they'd
never again have a day that good) to commit suicide by offering themselves up to a cat. Freaked out by the deathwish mice, the cat ran away from them, and
begged a dog to put him out of his misery. The cat's deathwish unnerved the dog, and he took off
running, pursued by the cat, who was still being chased by the mice. If memory serves me, it ends there, although it might've been funny to have a
dogcatcher fleeing the dog....
The dog's comment, after trying to use an adding machine to figure out what was going on: "It don't add up!"
