Not that it makes THAT much difference, but, Bioware fixed the majority of my complaints with the DRM packaged with Mass Effect. To the point where I was
willing to let it be installed on my gaming rig. The big one being that it no longer installs a rootkit; the DRM is only in effect when you launch the game.
And y'know, I can live with that. That doesn't bother me, really.
GameGuard, on the other hand, runs all the time, and worse, silently updates itself. It IS a rootkit in the worst sense.
If they want to protect against cheaters, release it via Steam. You do NOT need full root access on my box to prevent cheating.
