Okay, it's season five of Buffy; this is a re-envisioning of the creation of Dawn from the Key.

We're trying to make the fic as accessible as possible to as many readers as possible regardless of fandom, and to that end, some stuff from the show will be recreated in our own original text, and some things that are implied or glossed over will be presented in full where it helps the story.
