If you saw that then you are lucky enough to have never seen a lot of the other responses. That said, I like it and it really is not that bad.
Especially after the first few chapters, for one thing it shows ninjas with actual brains. Not sure what you mean by the writing style thing though, it does
not look much different from 99% of the other stories I have read in the past
