WG, Bmull, a little help please? Those two tools don't work together well -- Handbrake only outputs MPEG-4 video in MP4 and MKV containers, and it appears that VirtualDub doesn't know either from Adam, nor can it recognize the .MOV format video straight off the camera. VirtualDub only recognizes MPEG-1 video, AVI/DIVX, and a couple other oddball things like animated GIFs.
So... what's a good program that will convert my .MOV file to something VirtualDub recognizes? I'm googling right now, but if there's something that comes right to mind for either of you, I'll be happy to skip the effort.

ETA: Let me rephrase that slightly. It's not hard to find video converters. But it's hard to tell what's got spyware or worse bundled into it. Tracking down that kind of info before I download anything is a pain and a half. If you guys -- or anyone else for that matter -- knows something dependable and honest that will do the job, I'll be happy to take your recommendation.
