To me it seems that branch manager wanted a trophy and a mascot which he'd got for a while till she started making waves in an effort to get qualified/permitted to do the job that was in the job ad. Which is something neither the manager nor the other guys in that department wanted as it would affect their metrics and would mean that they'd actually have to spend some time doing actual work instead of just rubberstamping it off and claiming her work as theirs.

And yowser now some of those outfits ain't work appropriate for her position on the chain, higher up and in a different field, like in PR & high-profile accounts could get away with 'em. Yet no matter what she'd wear it'd take some effort to conceal that figure. Or not considering that military-styled one appeared to do the job.
