Heh, looks like the film should be called 'Kato'

Then it's exactly in line with the original show, where Bruce Lee upstaged Van Williams more than once.
  

I recall one post-manga Ranma fanfic (don't know which, or by who, but it was from the days when rec.arts.anime.creative was the big fanfic venue) where Ranma invited Ryouga over to watch the Kato show... and they wondered who the white guy was.
