Helen recently exposed us to the works of http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_noss? ... ws&x=0&y=0]Ilona Andrews; her "Kate Daniels" books have a flavor somewhat like the Dresden Files. A quick check shows that at least some of them are available in Audible format. (And though it doesn't have a "Dresden" feel, I'd suggest her "On The Edge" series as well.)
