The Daz July beginner's challenge is "parades", the freebie challenge is "survivors", and the Platinum Club challenge is "pirates" (which includes space pirates, so I could get a Fenspace render in, but I don't have very much "pirate" stuff yet and that one's a "friendly competition" - read "not even any entry prizes"). Decisions, decisions...Oh! And there's the other Beginners' Contest - "http://forum.daz3d.com/viewtopic.php?p=2981624]Cigarette Cards". I think I still qualify as a beginner, and the prizes for this one are DAZ vouchers.
If anyone else is interested in taking part, I can provide the contest URLs.
So, if I have time and ideas, it's that Beginner's Contest and the Freebie challenge this month. (Hmmmmm... "survivors"... and I need at least eight free items. Now to find a free tombstone, a cane, and a cast for V4. Galadriel will do for the dress, and a black texture for it will serve as a second freebie. She'll need shoes, too. That leaves at least two more freebies... one of which can be the terrain/backdrop. The other... the usual cheat of adding jewelry isn't really appropriate here... a hat, maybe? Edit: D'oh! Free hair and a face morph - nothing says I can't have more than eight freebies, and she needs to look not like Victoria.
