Grade 1's are errors that aren't really dangerous, that everyone makes. Like stalling the car once or twice, being in too high a gear, or fluffing one of the secondary controls
Grade 2's are things that are more serious, like not checking a mirror in a turn, or not reacting correctly to a potential hazard, not moving off in good time or keeping up with traffic speed.... or stalling more than once or twice since it's obvious it's a deficiency in skill.
Grade 3's are things that could be dangerous/illegal, like running a red light, rolling through a stop sign, or forcing someone else to brake hard to avoid an accident.
