I'm trying to tell myself I'm not surprised. I'm trying to tell myself there're plenty of newer authors still around -- Taylor Anderson, Steven Brust, Lois Bujold, C.J. Cherryh, David Drake, Eric Flint, John Hemry (aka Jack Campbell), Mercedes Lackey, to name just a few (in alphabetical order). I'm even trying to remind myself that Bradbury was never one of my favorites.
And it doesn't do a damned bit of good.
