Datum: I just happened to catch something subtle in the White trailer: the moon, when it appears through the skylight near the end of the concert, is actually not a full circle -- it looks nibbled away on one edge. I nearly dismissed it as an effect of the edge of the skylight, but after I traced out the full circle of the opening, I'm certain: the moon in White is damaged, but not nearly as badly as it appears to be in Black.
All I could think of through the whole thing is "That Moon reminds me of Thundarr the Barbarian". Now that I think about it. the whole trailer had kind of that same feeling to it.
And, re-checking Red, the moon is quite explicitly fully circular and apparently undamaged. Significant? (initial hypothesis: R, W, B, and Y are not in the same era, but sequential -- the moon may be a signpost for what era we're seeing)
In the same vein, although more likely to be coincidental, I have to wonder if the way the entire forest in Black seems to be made of red rose petals has anything to do with the way Red's kills seemed to bleed rose petals rather than actual blood (something I dismissed as artistic license at the time).
