The Gamilas are fighting the Comet Empire ALREADY On one front at least!
Foreshadowing for the future!

Domeru (General Lysis) and many of the Gamilons getting good 3-dimensional backgrounds
and character motivations looks like! We get to see more and more of
them and their world so that we get CONTEXT like we never got in the
original!

Oh god! This is like... Continuity PORN for me!!
