Sounds good. I can leave Ottawa just after breakfast and make it to Toronto for lunch time (and Toronto to Collingwood should take two hours), so "afternoon-evening" works best for me.
Speaking of driving: The 407 is the most expensive toll road in North America, according to a news report I heard a couple of weeks ago. The 401, which roughly parallels the 407, is a freeway.
