In enterprise storage, we used to have two levels of performance: "Tier 1" (the expensive, fast-spinning drives with fast I/O hardware) and "Tier 2" (the slow, inexpensive drives like the ones you can buy for home PCs).
Then SSHDs came along. We had to establish a "Tier 0" for them.
