That isn't even the first time the FBI was asked to look into something like that.
For example, in 1964 an irate parent complained to Attorney General Robert Kennedy about the supposed obscenity of the Kingsmen song "Louie, Louie". The FBI was then asked to investigate these claims, with some rather hilarious results: First, they tried playing the record at a lower speed than it was designed for in an attempt to make out the lyrics, but that didn't work. They then interviewed the band members, who insisted that the lyrics weren't obscene. Finally, they managed to acquire a copy of the actual lyrics (which, as it turned out, were indeed not obscene).
