Having just recently picked UP XCom, for the 360, Cause the price was finally right ($10) I can honestly say that I'm feeling your pain, Spud. and yes, the mission to newfoundland keeps bouncing around in the back of my head till this popped out.
Camera: Medium pan shot (LEFT to RIGHT) of what appears to be a fishing village that looks generic enough it could be anywhere along the northeastern coast of North America. Still there is something strangely, almost obscenely silent about it because though it is only sunset, nothing moves in the town below. Not a boat, not a person, not a RAT.
Suddenly a shadow streaks across the shot; followed by a carpet of explosions that causes the camera to reverse its pan to follow the rows of interlocked blasts from the west end of the town, which before the bombing was dominated by a fishing factory vessel of some kind, to the east where a large boxy VTOL transport vaults into the air and safety split seconds before the wave of destruction envelops it as well. The camera continues to pan LEFT, leaving the destruction behind and bringing some sort of robotic suit into frame. On its left breast is a shield with an x in it above a German flag superimposed with a gold oak leaf. Below that, the names "Kohler, F" and "Faucet". It shakes its head sadly before speaking; its voice is female, yet carries strange metallic overtones.
FAUCET: Whaleing is not just politically incorrect, but can be hazardous to not just your health, but the health of your whole town!
Hear that thunder rolling till it seems to split the sky?
That's every ship in Grayson's Navy taking up the cry-
NO QUARTER!!!
