Thanks for the rundown, hazard. I don't think much of Worm as a story, but I like the world Wildbow has built. Probably my fundamental problem with it is you can see WB's poor understanding of government and law enforcement, and basic distrust of authority, as a huge bias on the story.
And I'd like to say, as the writer of this project, I'm enjoying the HELL out of this discussion. This kind of argument is exactly what I was hoping for.
One thing is like to mention: You're all right that a MRI would probably show that Taylor's triggered, but I'm thinking that privacy laws, as well as the PRT's participation in the Unwritten Rules that project secret identities, means that is probably going to take a warrant on the suspicion of using parahuman abilities to commit a crime before you can force someone to submit to a scan.
