Nah, Hardened Electronics, and built in Faraday Shield, all it does is lose power until the power cell is either replaced, or recharged.

But BattleMechs always blow up after taking damage!

Could be your Munitions. I usually manage to Shut down before going critical overload.  Then again What would I know, I'm crazy enough to use a full Star of Elementals.

I think its your dice, but then again, i've specced out a Timberwolf as a sniper and had to use it for close range/melee fights so eh
Wolf wins every fight but the one where he dies, fangs locked around the throat of his opponent.
