Given it usually takes about three years in between for new Macross projects to come to fruition, those dates don't sound so far off any more. Supposedly there's a Delta movie on the way, and a new series "this year" though that may well mean something like how Frontier and Delta released a preview episode in late December and started properly airing the following spring. That would see HG's timer running out right around whatever comes next after that, and with the way they've treated the property I really don't see them getting offered a renewal.
