SpoilerThere are several clues in the text itself that point to my conclusion, and I know that one of Doug's stops is in that universe, but I have only read that step once, last year, so I cannot discard the possibility that it was floating somewhere inside my brain until I put the pieces together.
ETA: As a matter of fact, until I saw the kanji I thought it might be: due to another clue mentioned in the scene.
