Have no access to the piratepad. It just sort of breaks and goes into a continuous 'site is down' loop.

I'm having the same problem. Export what's there to a format you can read offline, save the export, close the browser window, write your additions in a text editor, re-open the browser window, and copy-and-paste your contributions.
