I was half-thinking of this outfit, but she'd freeze in that outfit in Ottawa in January.
That's 3D-art, not real life, just in case somebody didn't pick up on the visual cues. I'm not that good with the software. And Mamota makes good outfits for close-to-modern Japanese fashion - good base materials make for good images. This or this would fit the climate better but wouldn't be any good for construction work. This one is right out. EDIT: Although there is an anime-only character from A Certain Scientific Railgun who would look perfect in it... but I don't want to add any more characters to my apartment just now.
(Aside: Card Captor Homura. I needed to give the base character a hairdo, and that one was available...)
As for recommendations, don't feel that you have to watch everything that I suggest. You have your own plans for the stories, and no doubt your own stack of unwatched media.
