This, so much. Was Picard put in charge of the magnetosphere project? I know Negima did this but I really want to avoid adding Negima to the story because of the rampant ... uh, untruthiness. I just read this today, in an article on Gritty from Philadelphia of all things:

In his landmark critical text on fairy tales and their efficacy in working with children titled The Uses of Enchantment, author Bruno Bettelheim writes of these ancient stories, “The child intuitively comprehends that although these stories are unreal, they are not untrue.”

Gritty is true in a way that Negima isn't. I think we've done a good job at picking true stories.

Back on topic, it's hard to see it being used as an anthem -- there's really not much in the way of dynamics in the song, or narrative flow. But it can certainly be a leitmotif.
