This marks the second or third time I've tried to read the first story of that, and it's well written but still annoys the HFIL out of me. Mysteries... I hate them, and not in the "must solve" way, more the "must burn and read something GOOD instead" way. When I have them as assigned reading for some reason, it's definately last-chapter-first for this little black duck.
