People are stupid, petty, greedy bastards who rarely look out for anyone but themselves, and all you ever get with a revolution of any kind is a change of the individuals in power. Even the supposedly altruistic, it could be argued, are operating power a level of self-interest because why do we have the next generation but to care for us when we can't do it for ourselves.
