Clow Reed being Aleister Crowley raises metaphysical problems for me... although that would be a good excuse to bring in Naraku, right?  But beyond them not really being all that alike beyond the backstory, could you really see Yue falling in love with Aleister?  Funny idea, though.

"If you don't get the Naraku reference..."]Basically it's because in Inuyasha, Kikyou and Kagome have the same soul, but only exist in the same time due to both time travel and magic.  And in this case, one of the present bearers of Clow Reed's soul is Fujitaka (the other is Eriol, who would be around somewhere).  Introducing a third version of the same soul would be complex to write.  But also the characters should have similar mannerisms and motivations and I'm not seeing it at all, especially in respect to Nadeshiko compared to Aleister's backstory.
