I suspect Usagi was not prepared for 'Gimme Chocolate' (I was only partially prepared when I looked up, due to having heard of the band)

by dealing with these 'youma' you are protecting the local Yakuza's operations and personnel as well as everyone else, and as the Yak said, it's an enemy they are unable to combat themselves. it only makes sense for them to provide what assistance they can. demonic invaders are bad for business.

And of course, scattered through the chapter we get glimpses of what's up with Ami, Haruka, Makoto, Hotaru, and Michiru as well.
Oh, and reading through the Concordance,, Royal Canin is sold in Canada as well.
