Images 13: the SPOOKY edition

The mountainside with the snowline reminds me of a sight Peg and I saw some thirty years ago now.  We had gone to California for the wedding of a couple friends of mine, and being a warm, comfortable day their reception was held under a tent on land just outside Bishop, in Owens Valley.  From our table we could look up into either line of mountains bracketing the valley -- and on one side, there was a snowstorm visible, laying down fresh powder all along the mountaintops.
