As for the importance of grammar, to paraphrase one of my favorite anecdotes it's the difference between being known as a bad ass, fucking hard, man, or a bad, ass fucking, hard man. Which is some people's type, of course, but that's not the point.
Though, that's punctuation more than grammar, too, isn't it? Hm, we need a pure grammar example.
