What, Canada is just now figuring out that the U.S. is a security threat? All you have to do is look at Mexico, where the U.S. sends guns and money down to the narcos, who then buy off the politicians and murder the journalists. All of that social instability is financed by American citizens and enabled by American government policy. We hardly need democratic backsliding to be a threat to our neighbors.
