From what I've read, the vikings were disliked by their more southerly neighbors the most because uncommonly good hygiene and mannerly behaviour with the ladies made it too easy to seduce away wives and daughters. So, sort of the opposite of this one... at least, if you believe "Some Guy on the Internet Said..."
